Area manaccused of shoplifting now facing charges forfleeing, DUIA West Pittsburg man arrested for retail theft Monday by Union Township police is facing more charges by New Castle police.Timothy Scott McKinney,41, of 1111 Graham Ave., was additionally charged Thursday by New Castle for an 8.4-mile stretch that police pursued him in the city after he fled from Union officers when pulling out of Wal-Mart. McKinney also allegedly was driving drunk with drugs in his sys* tern, according to laboratory reports.Union Township police on Monday had arrested McKinney for allegedly shoplifting at Wal-Mart on several occasions in January.Union police had reported that they saw McKinney leave the store lot Monday going onto Route 376. The Union officer tried to puli him over and McKinney was driving at high speed, according to a Union police report, and they followed him onto the Route 422 Bypass toward Shenango Township, where he was trav eling at more than 100 mph.The officer following McKinney reported that he passed several vehicles on the right• * It f A.
