GillfThe Christmas tree exercises of; the North school were held at the town hall last Friday evening and alarge audience - of parents and i friends attended. The first part of 1 the program consisted of the song 1 “We Join Once Again,” and the t recitation from Luke by the entire lt;school followed by recitations by Elaine Franz, Stanley Zywna, Glen-* na Boyle and Ellen Barrus. The t songs “We Three Kings’of Orient Are’\ by the boys of the grammar room1; “Come -with Shepherds Low-ly“ and “There’s a song in the air” by the girls of the grammar room, and “Up on the housetops,”: toy the .girls of the primary room were rendered, The main feature was the play “Help Wanted, played. Theprincipal parvPa,liV£s were taken by John Field, Mnrjor e Bogue, \yilfred Harris Ward. Elhvyn Bogue, Mertie Welch and Donna Van Valken-burgh. Several carols were sung by a grpup of 14 boys and girls. At th£conclusion of the exercises, Mr:Phelps of North field, disguised as Santa Claus, distributed fruit and candy and gifts provided by the Pa-rcnt-Teacher* association.1 ( The Gill Community club will ; f hold a -dance on Jan, 1, at the town hall for the members and invited j guests.
