Death was due to paralysis of the heart from apoplexy.Mr. Doctor was seventy-nine years of age, well-to-do and highly respected. He had not been feeling exactly well for some time, but his condition was not rognrded as sufficiently alarming to require the services of a physician. Thursday evening at 9 o’clock he started to retire for the night and while standing beside his bed suddenly dropped to the floor. 0tlier members of the family hurried to his side as quickly as possible, hut his death occurred within a minute after he was stricken, Coroner Burnett was summoned to the home this morning and rendered a llnding in accordance with the above facts.The sudden death has created a profound shock in the community, for Mr. Doctor was a pioneer citizen
