Joe and Biraie. The suit of Mrs. Birdie Cory against her fond and loving husband, Joe Cory, for the support of her child was decided in favor of the plaintiff by Judge Harney last Tuesday. He merely stated that ho would find for the plaintiff and will give his exact judgment later on. Joe married Birdie last July while under arrest as father of Birdie’s babe. He by fair promises induced her to marry him and at once deserted her. He refused to allow her but S3 a week and she spurning this offer sued for 85. Joe “scrapes” up considerable money being a barber and Birdie thinks he ought to divide. She threatened to scald him if he came around her any more and told Judge Harney that she had no faith in him. At this Joe smiled sarcastically and went on chewing his gum. The baby is named Ruby after the famous and popular song “Hey Rube.”
