Cha'sc, chargedbv her husband with assault with Intentto commit murder, was begun beforeJustice Moore at S o'clock, this afternoon. The family had been living at 00 Ninth avenue since September, coming to this cltv from Oelweia. Mr. Chase was seen by a Gazette reporter this morning and -said that when he was married, nearly three years ago, he had a good business in Davenport as a sod-dor, grader and sidewalk' bnlldor. but that his wife became so unruly that he was compelled to call In the police to quiet her. After this disgrace she refused to live fn Davenport and they went to Ociwcin. Mr. Chase alleges that she h^s an ungovernable temper and that she has given it free rein during all thelrjnar-ricd life. He docs not intend to continuo In such a life and will prosecute on the criminal charge, or compel her to give bonds to keep the peace.. Under no circumstances will ho live with her again. Mrs. Chase was formerly MIssHanev. and afterwards Mrs. John Wright o' ToddviUc, Chase being her second husband. __
