Mrs. Tony Zale Granted DivorceCROWN POINT—Tony F. Zale, former middleweight boxing champ from Gary, and his wife Adeline were divorced here yesterday by Special Judge E. Miles Norton.Mrs. Zale, who filed the divorce suit, was granted custody of the couple’s two children, Mary Aline,8, and Theresa Louise, 6. She also was granted $108 a month support money for the children until they reach maturity.The Zale’s property—a house at 701 Van Buren St., Gary, four lots and $13,000 worth of investment certificates—will be sold by a trustee. The proceeds will be divided evenly between Zale and his former wife.Zale, 37, won the middleweight championship in .1941 when he outpointed Georgie Abrams. His last fight was in 1948.In her divorce suit. Zale's wife J charged mental cruelty.
