NO CAUSE FOR ACTIONContract Made Prior to Marriage Acts as Bar to Divorce.Indianapolis, Ind., Dec. 17.—Previous to the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. George F. Van Blaricum (the husband a Protestant and the wife a Catholic) there was a compact in which the husband agreed not to interfere with the religious inclinations of Mrs. Van Blaricum, and that children which might come to them should be baptized as Catholics. Afterward Van Blaricum repudiated the agreement, finally telling his wife to take the child and go, and she returned to her father’s home. This was two years ago. Van Blaricum made several efforts at reconciliation, failing in which he brought suit for divorce, alleging abandonment. The wife resisted the application, pleading the ante nuptial agreement. Monday a priest brought this agreement into court, seeing which the judge refused a divorce, holding that Van Blaricum had no cause of action.
