Is a prominent millionaire tanner of Columbus. Ind., and his wife is the daughter of William G. Hunter, a well-known Indianapolis grain man. Mrs. Mooney alleges cruel treatment.The two were married In Indianapolis, April 5. 1K3. The marriage is remembered by society people as something of on event. Mrs. Mooney is well known in musical circles, being one of the most accomplished pianists in tho state. Her marriage and. removal to Columbus. Ind.. was considered a distinct loss to the city by its musical people.Mr.. Mooney is the sor. cf the late W.-W. Mooney, one of two millionaire brothers. the other being J. E.- Mooney, of Cincinnati. ‘ These two owned several large tanneries In Cincinnati. Louisville and Columbus, Ind. William A. Mooneyhas been for several years 'manager and large part owner in the Columbus tannery. as well as having considerable slices of stock in the Cincinnati and Louisville enterprises.Mrs Moonoy at once assumed the position of a social leader in Columbus and became one of that city's most popular hostesses.In her complaint Mrs. Mooney alleges that her husband, in the presence of servants and invited guests, used violent and profane language toward her, locked her ir. a rcom and so humiliated her at various times that her health was Impaired.
