Sheets* Retired Furniture MDiesG W Sheets, 83. of 1063 29th St , a widely known, retired Portsmouth businessman, died at 5 40 am. today at MerryHospital He was admitted to the hospital in late November.Sheets had owned and operat-cd the former Sheets Furniture Store, 526 Second St, until his retirement about 1960.Rorn George William Sheetsin Greenup Count} he came to Portsmouth in 1921 from C i n-cinnati as manager of the Steinkamp Furniture Storethe Stem-kamp businesN several years later and was in the furniture business until he retired aboutfive years ago He was a member of the Portsmouth Lodge of Klks, the Masonic Lodge here. Retail Merchant s Association, the United Common ial Travelers, and Central Cnurch of Christwas a member andpresident of tne WestBusiness Association. Surviving are his wife, Mrs.fnez Sheets, a son. Dr JeromeSheets, 25.16 Ritchie SI ; a daughter, Mrs. B. h Seidel ofCincinnati, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.Funeral services tentatively are arranged tor Sunday afternoon at Windel-Howland Funeral Home.
