Mrs. Hattie Nn»baum Joel.Mrs. Hattie Nusbaum Joel died yesterday afternoon at twenty minutes past four, after a brief illness. The cause of her death was peritoniru'. She was taken ill about two weeks afro and gradually became worse. Yesterday she was very low but her death was unexpected.Hattie Nusbaum Joel was born Jan. 18. 1862. and at the time o* her death was 36 years. 10 months and 16 days of age. She was married March 1, 1883 to J. A. Joel. Mr. and Mrs. Joel made their home in this city until 1890, when they moved to Crawfordsville, Ind. They came back to Monmouth in 1895 and have made their home here since. Mrs. Joel leaves a husoand and four children, her mother. Mrs. M. Nusbaum, and a brother, Philip Nusbaum, to mourn her death.The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 9 o’clock at the residence, 309 North Second street. The remains will be taken to Burlington on the morning train, where the interment will be made.
