I olaves Divorce Case In Recess I ntil Vi cduesdavA divorce battle involving a Westport couple was recessed in Bridgeport Superior Court on Thursday in an attempt to permit the wife to gain an uncontested decree.Rosemary Wilson Coulter Polayes and Jack Polayes areboth seeking a divorce on grounds of intolerable cruelty. How'ever, after a brief cross-examination before Judge Leonard Shapiro, the recess was asked.Lawyers for both sides seemed to agree that Mr. Polayesw'ould withdraw his crosscomplaint.Mrs Polayes is seeking $950 a month in alimony and a lump sum of $20,000 to allow her to purchase a house. She claimed that her husband had beaten her from time to time.The couple has one child by this marriage. Mrs. Polayes was a divorcee with one child when they married in 1956; Mr. Polayes was a widower with two children.
