We are in one of the many beauti 1fill mod picturesque villages of France.which are very interesting. The cus-toms are very different from ours The old chateaus and ruins of the old Feudal castles are the most interesting of all to me. 1 was in a church Sunday which is 700 years old. It was built in the thirteenth cen tury The houses are all built either of stone or concrete. The roads are the best I ever saw.They were made either from gravel ,or rocks bj the old Romans centuries ago. The streets in the cities are very narrow and crooked Manj people wear wooden shoes. They are making wine and gathering English walnuts now.
