Leonardo di Vegara and his wife, who furnished much food for Indianapolis newspapers, two years ago, are rehearsingtheir troubles to an interested audience of*Columbus, O., society people. Mrs. Vegara has been living in Springfield, O., on money furnished by her husband. The installments stopped, she says, and she went to Columbus to collect.Sig. Vegara went to Columbus, about a year ago. He was made organist of the cathedral, andWas Made Much Of.It was quite the proper thing to belong to his musicales, and ho was prominent in all musical events.The woman's story created a sensation in social circles. She said she had neither food, clothing nor money, and was suffering from consumption. For lack of money, she had been turned out of her boarding house, and walked the entire distance to Columbus. She woreNo Stockings or Underclothing,and was clothed in a calico wrapper. She said her husband allows her but $3 a week. She admits that she is addicted to liquor. She is the mother of 11 children.Sig. Vegara does not deny the story, but says he is not responsible for the troubles that have fallen upon his home. He tried, he says, to reform his wife for the sake of his children, but failed, and nowWashes His Hands of Her.Sig4 Vegara came to Indianapolis fromCanada, and at one time had a music conservatory here. His wife w’as arrested for drunkenness, and she had him arrested for assault. The signor began his Indianapoli3 life with a great spludge.
