Jerald D. MillsHINTON - Jerald David Mills. 54, died Thursday, Aug. 25, at 2:30 a.m., in a Hinton hospital following a short illness.Bom Jan. 18, 1934, in Spanishburg, he was the son of the late Numa and Gertie Walker Mills.Mr. Mills was a disabled veteran, member of the Grace Primitive BaptistChurch at utdy Spring and was a U.S.Army veteran serving in the Vietnam Conflict.He was preceded in death by two brothers, Sonny and Abner Mills.Survivors include his wife, Peggy Lilly Mills, three sons, Jerald David Mills II, Mark Alan and Richard Lee Mills, all of Hinton; a daughter, Teresa Lynn Dunn of Princeton; three brothers, Dale and Gene Mills of Hinton and Billy Mills of Crab Orchard, five sisters, Crancy McComas and Fern Rutledge, both of Pin Oak, Gilmer Blevins of Whitby, Florine Hughes of Coal City and Louise Matherly of Cool Ridge and four grandchildren.Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Grace Primitive Baptist Church in Shady Spring with Elders Keith Mills, Ronald Mills and Joseph Blevins officiating. Burial will be tn the Thompson Cemetery at Coal City,Friends may call today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Prosperity and at the church one hour prior to the servicesMilitary honors will be conducted by members of the Fort Knox 194th Ar mored Brigade.Nephews will serve as pallbearers.The Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Prosperity is in charge of the arrange ments.
