A number'of streams cross the county with their cool, clear waters, fringed by beautiful trees and present inviting spots to the people of the county and those who visit us. •Along the highways of the county there are beautiful improved homes, fine modern houses, large and commodious barns, suitable outbuildings, including silos, granaries, etc. The farms are well kept, nicely and adequately fenced and present an appearance of the peace and prosperitythat exists there.*The Decatur county farmer has the centralized school, the modern and up-to-date community and, close at hand, a good town or city in which to trade. There are no “back woods-ers” in this county.
