Sensational Divorce.Josiah Lamb is 88 years of age and has been a resident of Galena, Floyd r. cornily, for a long period. He is well known throughout'the county and has borne a good reputation, except that he was very “near,” or in other words stingy.lie is wealthy, owning over |G0,O0(i worth of real estate. Four years ago he married his present wife. He was then s4 years old and his wife was 50. Since the marriage the couple have not lived happily together, and the result is the filing to-day of a petition for divorce by Jane Lamb against her husband Josiah Lamb.The petition alleges that the plaintiff has been a true and loving wife since the marriage. That the defendant has been sick most of the time and has been taken Care of by plaintiff. It also states that for most of the time during the past four years the defendant has been intoxicated, and that he has treated his wife with inhuman cruelty. For several days at a time he would not provide enough food for plaintiff, and she often suffered from hunger and cold. One time when it was necessary for plaintiff to go to New Albany, he would not furnish her money aud compelled her to walk. It also alleges that for two years the defendant has given plaintiff less than $2 for personal expenses.Recently the defendant drove the petitioner from his house and has since refused to provide for her.
