Child Pensioned.Mrs. Vernie M. Boomershine, guardian and custodian of Grace Boomer-shine has been granted a pension of $14 in behalf of the child, dating from August 25, 1893. Mrs. Boomershine was divorced from her husband, James Boomershine and allowed alimony of 83 a week. The divorced husband instead of paying this, enlisted with Co. C 157th volunteers during the Spanish-American war and went south. He died in Tampa, Florida, and the wife applied for a pension. Justice Sanders learned that she had been divorced and applied in the name of the child, the pension being granted.
