WOULD NOT WORK SO WIFE WANTS DIVORCEMrs. Julia Uylaki Smolich, 715 Logon street, Hammond, today filed a suit for divorce from her husband, Mike, whom she married March 8, 1927. She charges cruel and inhuman treatment and that he wouldn’t work.The bill, prepared by Attorney Milo Bruce, alleges that the husband refused to work, forcing his wife, who is the mother of ten children, eight by a former marriage, to go to work. Among other allegations are that the husband chased his wife out of their home after *she came back from the hospital following an operation and would not pay for the operation.Besides a decree, Mrs. Smolich asks for $20 -a week support money.
