The childhood romance of Laland and Polly Bentley of Waterloo has come to a disappointing end. More j than fifty years ago they were childhood friend Then they became sep- * arated and each married. Death left Polly Olds a widow and Laland A. Bentley a widower. In the autumn of 1H14 they met and the old affec- j tion was kindled into love. They j were married Nov. 28, that year. He was 71 years old and she was f4 years old. Last fall she filed a peti* i tion for divorce. Recently he died, and death ended the suit, hut it has given rise to another. Mrs. Betitlev now asks an injunction to restrain Mr. Bentley’s sons from transferring i notes which she alleges he executed without consideration in order that her inheritance might be reduced.
