In 1906 a company was organ-1 Ued and incorporated under the name of S. W. Miller Piano company and with tho following officers: S. W. Miller, president; John F. Schwerin, vice-president; K. H. Roberts, secretary, and Christ; Ackermann, treasurer. The old Schultbem property, located on JN. Fifteenth street neai Gcele avenue, into vliich the machinery was moved—the company taking possession in 1911.In 1918 Christ, Ackernnuu suldhis mterest in the company to his sun, William H,, and the laliei served as treasurer until lJ~o, at which ti~*9 his stock was pui-chased by John F. bchwenu. Prior to this, however, in 1992, the b, \vMiller Piano company puichased tho property of the American ^lotion Picture theatre, located at 1140 a. Eighth street, aftei which tho former factory building was sold to tho Shebo\gar Mbic 1 urui-ture comuany. A large addition was built to the old tneahe and soon thereafter the S. W. Miller Piano company oio\ed its entire equipment to the new location,Tho Miller piano won an enU-able reputation for high-class material and workmanship and toual quality. Mr. Miller scrupulously adherred to the principle of utilU-
