Milton, was in a I serious condition in Memorial hospital, Edgerton* Monday. |He was struck by the mysteriousshot late Sunday afternoon v n In company with another boy he was attempting- to drive cattle which jhad strayed onto the Fred Cray \farm back to the nearby Benawat | farm, four miles north of Milton Junction. The boys were cutting across a field on the Gray farm when Knight was struck and fell.H♦' was carried to * fence by the I Renaway youth, who summoned aid. Knight was reported to havespent a fair night in the Edgertouhospital Sunday night, and is expected to recover. The bullet has not yet been removed from his Jaw,howcv or.SherifT J. S. Fessenden conducted an investigation Sunday night and again Monday. He reported the bullet, apparently a stray one fired from the rifle of someone not far away, had entered the boy's neck in an upward direction.
