Quito a little stir was’caused among the* older residents of the north side of the city yesterday by the announcement that Mrs. Phiiomina Wole?, wife of former Alderman Christian Wei or. had filed a suit in the circuit court demanding an absolute divorce from’her husband. Tho suit was tiled by Alfred L, Urury and the allegations of tho compWnt are of a sensational nature. Mrs. Weier in hoc complaint alleges that shy and Weler were married in Chicago nearly thlr-ty-clght years ago and that for many years they huve made their homo In the city of Kenosha. She alleges that for the past ten years her husband has treated Her in a cruel manner and that ho has repeatedly assaulted her nn.d has threatened to KUl her. Sho asserts that he has repeatedly falsely accused’ her of infidelity and . that the various threats have been of j such a nature that sho fears that it will bo dangerous for her to live with I him longer, fn addition she charges | failure to support and asserts that for j a number of years she has been forced i to provide for frer own support by sewing for her neighbors and friends.
