Orr claims in a million-dollaralienation of affections suit before Judge Worth W. Trammell in Circuit court. The subject ol the suit, Morrison Orr, is heir to the Orr Felt and Blanket company of Piqua, Ohio. A number of Miami Beach socialites have been subpoenaed as Witnesses in the case, including Mrs. John F. McCarthy, 6222 N. Alton road, a member of the Surf club.Mrs, Orr, -wearing a large leghorn hat with violets for decoration, occupied the witness stand almost all tl of the first day in court. Batteries of attorneys surrounded her, with another squadron hedging the defendant. Mrs. Clark was dressed in a plum-colored print jacket frock, with plum-colored linen hat and shoes, for the first day's hearing of charges against her.! The plaintiff is demanding $1,-000,000 damages from Mrs. Clark, claiming she “enticed” her husband to desert her and their seven-year-old daughter, Maury Margaret.In addition to the million-dollar suit against Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Orr has filed suit for an equal sum against her mother-in-law, Mrs. Eliza B. Orr, 4011 Collins avenue, also charged with helping to alienate the affections of Morrison Orr.A third suit, directed against Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Eliza B. Orr jointly, asks $1,000,000 for alleged conspiracy to alienate the affections of Morrison Orr from the plaintiff.The case against Mrs. Clark alone is the one now in progress before Judge Trammell.• Answering the charges, Mrs. Clark said she did not “intend” to steal Mrs. Orr’s husband, and that Mrs. Orr, by “her intimate relationship with one or more men” already had forfeited the love and companionship of her husband.Cross-examination of Mrs. Orr yesterday revealed Morrison Orr Is her third husband.
