All Interested Are Invited to Meeting Tomorrow at 8 P.M.Consideration is being given to the formation of an Elks Lodge in Corona. There have been two preliminary meetings to informally discuss the matter.A general meeting to which all interested persons are inyited will be held in the Community room of the Citizens National bank ^at 8 p.m. tomorrow. All Elks, former Elks and those who would like to consider becoming Elks are invited to attend.Alphonse Ganahl, long time Corona attorney, long has been a member of the Elks and has served as exalted ruler of the Riverside Elks Lodge, No. 643, B.P.O.E. John Ganahl, Corona city attorney, though not now an Elk, has been elected as secretary-treasurer of the committee planning the organization oL an Elks Lodge.Lyle Swaney, an Elk in the Fort Dodge, Iowa, lodge, Dr. Denver Roos, Chief of Police J. S. Lowery, for many years a member of the Riverside Elks lodge, Elvin I. Downs, P. S. Jackson and severaf others have attended the preliminary organization meetings. Jack Hammond has been a member of the Elks Lodge for 22 years.Active in CharitiesThe Elks over the years have been particularly active in charita-' ble activities, most of which never are announced. It is a social, fraternal and charitable organization..Frank M. Linnel of Santa Ana, a past exalted ruler of the Newport Bea^h Elks Lodge and chairman of the New Lodge Committee for the Elks of California, has met with the local promoters proposing a Corona Elks Lodge. There also have been Elks from Orange and other cities in attendance.It is believed that there are 40 or more Elks in the Corona area and the territory proposed for the suggested lodge probably would include the Temescal Judicial district including Corona, Norco, Home Gardens, El Cerrito, Coroni-ta, La Sierra and part of Temescal Canyon.If organized, rented quarters probably will be used for some time until the lodge sees its way clear to build a Corona Elks Hall.
