events of Nov. 24 and 25.Under questioning by Judge Balph who accepted the plea yesterday, Harding testified that he had been having marital problems and was upset by his problems and by the marital problems of his sister. He said he loaded his shotguns earlier on the day in question.With the guns in the back of his car, Harding said, he left the home of his aunt and uncle, where he was living, between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Nov. 24. He drove around, stopping along the roadside to drink beer which he had in his car. He also went to two taverns in the West Pittsburg area where he drank more, he said.After that, Harding said, his memory lapsed.“The next thing I remember is I woke up and my car was parked in front of my wife’s home. She was inside. She’d been shot.”He returned to the Fletcher’s home at about 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 25 and told them, “I think I killed her. I think she’s dead.”Mrs. Harding died as a result of being shot in the back with a 12-gauge shot gun.
