Cabinet Supreme Merges With Liberal SavingsThe familiar Cabinet Supreme sign at 5162 Delhi Pike will be replaced by ‘‘Liberal Savings Association,” as the two firms merge, effective Friday.The Delhi Pike office will be the first branch operation for Libera! Savings and Loans Association, whose home office is at Sixth and Vine Sts. The merger will add $1.75 million to Liberal’s $28.4 million assets.Jon Baldwin, president of Liberal, said that Cabinet Supreme board members have agreed to continue with Liberal as an advisory Committee. They are Albert G. Grueter, Ray F. Herzog and George Kroeger. Therewill be no changes in the Liberal board directorship. . Jerome H. Grueter, longtime Cabinet Supreme manager, will continue as manager of the Delhi branch office. Mrs. Kathleen Dittmann will stay on as teller.The snappy slogans which advise and amuse the community from the free-standing sign in front of the Delhi Pike office will also continue, Mr. Grueter said. Current comment: “A Watched Child Always Boils.”An eight-page color tabloid supplement giving a detailed description of the merger of the two financial institutions is included with this issue.
