Five Years for Pot SalesBruno SentencediT o Maximum T ermA Waterloo youth convictedby a Black Hawk County juryfor selling marijuana Tuesday received the maximum five-year sentence from District Court Judge Peter Van Metre.John Joseph Bruno, 20, of 89 Franklin St. is to serve the term at the men’s reformatory at Anamosa.Prior to the pronouncing of sentence Assistant County Attorney Robert Rausch told the court “Bruno is not an ordinary hippie or yippie that just spent time in Lincoln Park tins summer.”Refers to RecordRausch said Bruno “Was using younger people to sustain himself by selling marijuana.” He stated Bruno had his first trouble with the law when he was eight years old and at the time of his arrest here was on parole from a felony sentence in New Jersey.Bruno's attorney, J a m e *’ Dunbar, asked for leniency andsaid, “A record is not made by the number of entries that appear there.
