# ----25 YEARS IN PRISON ISFATE OF BOY BANDITYouth Captured After Desperate Fight Pleads Guilty[Special Dispatch to The Ca/Z]SACRAMENTO, Sept. 28.—Frank Melville. the daring young: bandit who held up three saloons and a streetcar in this city, and who was wanted for similar crimes in Vallejo and Stockton, today pleaded guilty to a chargre of highway robbery. He was sentenced to 25 years in San Quentin by Superior Judge Hughes. Melville was arrested near Vallejo after a fight with a posse in the marshes. He was identified as the Sacramento bandit by his general description and the fact that he stuttered. He was a former inmate of the Whittier reform school.
