One of the conspicuous figures at the World's Fair is our old friend, Diamond Dick, who has an “American Indian Village” on the MidwayPlaisaneo. Tho following from Sunday's Lifrr-Ocean would seem to indicate that he has got into trouble:“Diamond Dick, or Dr. (ieorge B. McClellan, a would-be wild and wooly Western medicine man and rille shot was sent from Midway pin-sauce to Mercy hospital last night in a terribly battered-up condition. For pome weeks “Diamond Dick/’ in conjunction with “Buckskin Joe.*' has been running a village or American Indians on Midway plaisattce, The Indians have been giving imitations of war, coin aud ghost dances, in which blanketed Indians are known to excel Ln«t night Diamond Dick left his show and visited the Hungarian resiauiaut There he got into a discussion which degenerated into a knock-down and drag-out melee, iti which he was set upon by a down waiters and given a terrible and serious mauling. Rescued by some bystanders, the uneoncions man was taken to the Emergency hospital and there patched up. lie bad a severe scalp wound, four stiches being re«pi!r_*d to get his hair in place and bring the lips of the ga.-h together.
