Peter Wright, the negro man condemned to be hung for the murder of Mr. Maupin, ot Bedford couaty, and who has been eonfinec in the Lynchburg jail for safe keeping evei ainoe first convicted, more than 12 months ago, was sent up to Lioerty early Friday morning to receive final sentence, Bedford county court convenes to day (Monday), and all efforts to havo the punishment of the unfortunate man commuted having failed, Judge Davis will fix the day for his execu^ tion.—Lynchburg News.
