E.Market-st, today is in the Erie-co jail waiting to be taken to the Ohio State Reformatory at Mans-Tield to begin serving a minimum sentence of four years.Gant had waived trial by jury, and at the conclusion of the hearing, Judge Savord found him guilty on a count of assault with intent to rape, as charged in the indictment, and guilty on three other counts of assault with intent to rape, but not guilty of three counts of assault with intent to rob, as charged in the indictment,The youth, through his Cleveland attorney, Chester K. Gillespie waived a motion for a new trial and was sentenced by the court to the reformatory to serve indeterminate terms on each count which are to run consecutivelynot concurrently.The Ohio statute provides a sen* tence of from one to 15 years foi each charge.
