**hu a»vii» uiwt w ku uau niuuinu,—In a difficulty at Chccotah last week, Dr. Pate shot George Scott through the arm near the shoulder. It is a flesh wound and will probably not permanently hurl Mr. Scott. There was a ball in town during the night and both parlies were drinkihg some. Dr. Pate was taken to Fort Smith and was committed to jail in default of bond for assault to murder.
