Announcement was made by Vince Anselmo, deputy director of the Nevada Department of Commerce and acting commissioner of the Credit Union Division.The meeting in the old state building, 215 E. Bonanza Rd., governor’s conference room, will begin at 11 a.m.“Upon completion of the meeting and official adoption of rules and regulations, we will begin to accept applications from federally chartered credit unions in Nevada wishing to convert to state charters,’’ Anselmo said.He pointed out state-chartered credit unions will be given more flexibility than offered through federal charters. Credit union boards will be given more power to act on behalf of individual members, working for every person's benefit.
