Dennis George, Gun User, Is Arrested After Fata! Gun Play; Family Quarrel Led To Shooting: To Hold AutopsyWilliam Strode Evans, 24, a well known resident of Nauvoo, West Side, was shot five times by Ms brother-in-law, Demus George, 27, also of Nauvoo. at 5:30 Sunday afternoon. One of the bullete pierced Evans* heart and his death was instantaneous. The shooting occurred on the front porch of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry George, parents of the gun user and where the Evans family raided. Shortly after the shooting George disappeared and hi was not arrested until 10 o’clock last night. He took to the hills hack of his home after the fatal gun play.
