Robbery in Wirt County.The general store of W. W.lt; 'heatham, located at Dulin, Wirt ' »unty, six miles above Elizabeth i ;d the United States Postoffice i i t he same building*, were burglarized early Sunday morning and Ben and Burley (Jeer are in custody at Elizabeth, charged wit h the crime. The Geer broth-t rs were trailed down by bloodhounds, being arrested SundaynVIgipiofhitlhiwlainVia*r:!)(tlWS(tlOlTVftolSIStTftm• *1)mUight, after a chase lasting sev-lt; al hours, the same resulting in the brutes leading the authorities directly to the Geer home.As the men are charged with having robbed a United States 'ostofiice their crime comes within the scope and under the i ntrol of the Federaljauthorities The Geer brothers, Ben and Gurley, are nineteen and sixteen ylt; ars of age, respectively. Ben (leer was given a trial in this city within the last year on the charge of horse stealing. lie stole a very valuable horse belonging to ex-Mayor C. H. Turn- joi er, of this city, and was tried in c; ibe Criminal Court under the name of Sylvester Geer, was convicted and sentenced to a term bi j i the state reform school at tl Pruntytown.
