The young fellows fin-1 oily got Into a quatrol among thorn- j selves (and at that time Mr. Aokles entered the room and began shooting. Two of tho young men were seriously wonndod, but finally recovered. Mr. and Mra. Ackles wore arrested on the charge of attempting to commit murder and for keeping a house of prostitution. In the trial that followed Ackles was found guilty of the oharge of attempting to commit murder aud was sontenoed to a term In the Fort Madison penitentiary, whore he Is now doing service.The trial of MrB. Ackles on the oharge of keeping a house of prostitution oame up this week and her husband was brought baok from Fort Madison to testify in her behalf.
