BIG DAMAGE SUIT SETTLEDJohnson’s Island Company Pays Mrs. Caroline Linder $550.The damage suit of Mrs. Carolin Linder against the Johnson’s Island Pleasure Resort company has been settled says the Sandusky Register. Mrs. Linder is the widow of Frederick C. Linder, of Chicago Junction, whose tragic death at the resort on Sunday, August 12, 1897, when he was carelessly shot by a balloonist, is well remembered by thousands who were there that day and by the public generally. She \?as appointed administratrix of her deceased husband’s estate and as such brought suit against the company for $10,000, last year. The particulars were published in detail at that time.in the Register at that time.By the terms of the settlement which has been effected, with the approval of the Huron county probate court, the Johnson’s Island Pleasure Resort company .pays thew idow $55°-This settlement is considered favorable to the pleasure resort company and surprise was expressed in many sources that Mrs. Linder yielded so easily.
