Butts, who was not long in ascertaining that a fellow named Billy Tiger was the probable perpetrator of tho theft, and that he had gone in the direction of Newport. He immediately went in pursuit, and in a lew hours captured Billy in the buggy, about nine miles out on the Alexandria Pi lie, and brought him safely back to this city,where ho is now in jail.
