When tne case or tne state vs. juck Burke, one of the Cedar Lake resort1 keepers came up in Judge Nicholson’s court last week Burke failed to put in an appearance and the court promptly declared his bond forfeited. His bondsmen, however, found him and on .Monday surrendered him to the court, when the case was continued until the prosecuting witness could be secured. He was compelled to give a new bond for his appearance. It is rumored that more affidavits will be filed against Burke for selling liquor without a license and the probabilities are that he will have plenty to do before he gets through with Indiana Justice.
