Sentences overturnedAUSTIN (UPI) — Death sentences given two men convicted of capital murder in separate cases have been overturned because psychiatric examinations violated their rights against self-incrimination, an appeals courtruled.The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals overturned the convictions of John Russell Thompson for shooting a San Antonio woman during a 1977 holdup attempt and George Edward Clark for the 1978 murder and rape of an Austin woman who was stabbed 38 times.
