Innocent plea entered in assaultA Janesville man pleaded innocent Monday to charges that he sexually assaulted his wifeDonald Lukas, 67, of 1400 Joliet, entered the plea Mondayafternoon in Rock Countycourt. He is charged with three counts of felony third degreesexual assault and two countsof misdemeanor fourth-degreesexual assault.w The wife has testified earlier that they agreed before the wedding “there wasn’t supposed to be any sex” in their n^rriage.Lukas is accused of sexuallyassaulting his new bride in theweeks after their Jan. 10 marriage. Five weeks after the wedding, Lukas filed for divorceagainst the 34-year-old woman. In court Monday, a speedytrial request was filed by Jefferson County District Attorney David J. Wambach, who is acting as special prosecutor in the case. The motion requires thatLukas’ trial be conducted within 90 days.
