A revision of the rules of arrest powers for university security personnel was also approved by the commifcte,. Under the original resolution it was stipulated that security personnel complete 320 hours of training and that full arest powers be granted to them after the completion of the probationary period.These two requirements have since been eliminated. It was brought out that the number of hours in a training program is determined by a state committee and fluctuated from year to year, II was also felt that the assigning of arrest powers after the six-month probationary period defeats the true purpose of probation.Under the revised resolution the following four criteria were established:
