...........................Only one criminal ease has been» set for hearing during the criminal week of the September session ol district court, which week has been designated by Judge A. S.Mauzey as Sept 27-Oct. 2.That case is the State vs. Hay McElroy, indicted by a grand jury in 1942 on a charge of cattle theft The case was first set for hearing at the last term, but continued on account of absence of a material witness.Another case for the investigation of the grand jury, which is inrecess, was addod to the docketduring the week with the arrest in Big Spring Monday of Robert Ross, charged with the theft of a car from R. E. Johnson. The court has not set the date on which the grand jurors will be reconvened.Pending on the criminal docket is the case of the state against Filisiano Gonzales* Mexican, charged with the murder of Cipriano Arxate, Jr., another Mexican. This case is expected to be set for hearing sometime in October.
