* Royer is Acquitted.William Royer was acquitted last Saturday by a jury in the criminal court. He vvas charged with the murder o! iiis motheVin-l«w..Some years ago Royer went out Iriving with his mother in-law in a wagon. He came home with her dead body, and said the wagon had run against a tree and thrown her out and killed her. This statement was received with suspicion by some of the neighbors, and they went out to the spot where he said the accident occurred. They meas ured the distance from the wagon tracks to the tree, and pronounced that the hub of the wagon could □ot have touched the tree, and immediately after Royer was indict ed for murder.The case has hung on in the dif ferent courts till now, and the jury have decided that Royer was not guilty of the crime.
