Trustee Hill and 'Squire Treonwere up from Jackson township today and report that the alleged whipping of hi3 wife by Philip Collins, Monday, was a very brutal affair. In the house with Collins and his wife, who is an invalid, lived a young woman named Shaner, who, it is said, has boon living in adultery with Collins, and Sunday mornin g, Mrs. Collins says she was attacked by the Shaner woman and knocked down, after which her husband, she states, gave her an unmerciful beating. She hed from the house, leaving her terrified children screaming after her, and went to the residence of Trustee Hill for protection.
