On Thursday Anna towers, the daughter c»l a widow refilling at Wampum, and who for three year* ha* been living with the family of John McCleary, a prominent citizen of Shenango township, called at the office of Alderman Brown with Mr*. McCleary and made an information against a young man named Thomas Kennedy, *011 of Samuel Kennedy, charging him with seduction, bastardy and fornication. After the information wa* made Mi** I/wera said that *he wanted no warrant Issued, tor a time, at least, but the alderman *ald he could not allow the matter to lie, and *0 in the evening be drove to Shenango township with officer Roger* and arrested young Kennedy. The latter maintained hi* Innocence and stated that it was a known fact all around that John Bowden, a step-son of John McCleary, was the father of the unborn child. Young Kennedy'* father at once made information charging Anna Lowers,John Bowden and Ids mother, Mrs. John McCleary, with conspiracy in charging Thomas Kennedy w itli a criminal offense. The officers arrested all the parties. John McCleary signed bonds to the amount of $1,200 for the appearance of John Bowden, Charlotte McCleary and Anna Lower*, and Samuel Kennedy signed the bond for the appearance of his son. Bowden was recently married and tlie Kennedy* claim that the information against l orn was made to shield him. It is known that Mrs. Lowers, the mother of the girl in the case, went before a justice at Wampum to have Bowden arrested before the intormation against Kennedy was made, but tor some reason it was not Issued. The Kennedy* claim that they can prove from admissions made by Mrs. McCleary and Anna towers, that they conspired to ruin young Kennedy. The parties are all prominent and the excitement caused by Thursday night's developments la Intense.
