IN BRIEFFlannery probeAn inquest into the death of Keith Herbert Flannery has been called for Feb. 26. 1985, in Brandon provincial court. The Pipestone man was found floating in the Assiniboine River July 15, 11 days after he went missing from the Brandon Mental Health Centre.Flannery was committed to the hospital last year after being found not guilty by reason of insanity on charges of murdering his father and cousin. The question of an inquest became an issue in city hall in August, when Alderman John KHleher expressed concern the public was not informed Flannery was missing. The patient was known to slip into a psychotic state when not under medication.Council agreed to Aid. Kdleher’s motion requesting the Chief Medical Examiners’ Office of Manitoba conduct an inquest.
