Anna Dempsy, 37, wa3 given a fine of $5 and costs on tfao charge of intoxication. On failing to pay the fine she •was sent to the Cass county Jail to serve fifteen days. Fred Barnett, 30, will serve a sentence of 160 days atthe penal farm, received on the charge of vloltlng the liquor law byselling beer. Charles Lebar arranged to pay the fine of ?5 and cost given him on the charge of Intoxication while John Murjock arranged to pay his fine of $5 and costs received on a similar charge. Charles Roselle. 34, was given a fine of $5 and costs for intoxication but the fine was suspended. • .Reports reached the officials that j an old fashioned beer party was being | held in Dunkirk last night. According to the officials, they went to the home of Fred Barnett where Anna Dempsy I is housekeeper. There they found the party. On the table stood a bucket of home made beer. The officers stated that on locating the beer an investigation was started to locate the source of this beer. After a search of several minutes the bed in the room was removed and the rug taken from the | floor. A trap door in the floor under- j neath the bed was found. On opening j this the officers state that a good | sized keg containg beer was found.: It was seized and taken to police j headquarters.
