case.Daniel O. Spenoer, of Monroe county, was pardoned by the Governor yesterday. Spencer was convicted In the Monroe Circuit Court about two years ago, of assault and battery, with intent to kill. His term would have expired on the29ili lt;»r this month. The evidence did not make a strong case against him, and showed that, when not influenced by drink, lie was,a gantle and agreeable man. His petition was signed by eleven jurors, the judge, prosecuting attorney, the county oflioeraaud a largo number of citizens of Monroe county.
