While Jimmy was out in - rent, with the members of the aress and the officialwitnesses to ihe execution, I waslip on the scaffold with the two doomed men. The execution took place on June 6, 1955. They were Griffin, formerly of Gracttin g e r .and..Brewer of Waterloo. Theywere involved in a shooting affair in which a Deputy Sheriff was killed. It was Brewer who fired the .! shot that killed the sheriff. Both! were tried and both were sentenced to be hanged.
